Member Spotlight – Kalma Baby

This month, the CPD Standards Office shines a spotlight on one of our members offering a new franchise concept for childrens exercise and wellbeing.

Yoga for children is becoming more popular as much as an everyday hobby. A way to help children become more comfortable and confident in their own bodies. As a result of a child who learns yoga, relaxation and mindfulness they develop essential skills for a lifetime of health of well-being.  As a North East childrens yoga company we are on a mission to make yoga more acessible to the children in the UK!

Kalma Baby provides yoga fun to children with serious developmental benefits.  Teaching children yoga and mindfulness in our classes and schools across the North East.  A business which was inspired by the birth of her premature son, Rebecca Riley launched The Kalma Baby Franchise Model in 2016.  The franchise gives parents the opportunity to work flexibly and the bend the rules in working life to create more family time and earn an income.   Training in children’s yoga with a Kalma Baby franchise allows a teacher to deliver classes from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years.  Our unique training package is all delivered in house and a combination of face to face and online. Our teachers are extremely passionate about the health and well being of children.  An accredited training brand through the International Institute of Complementary therapists and The Childrens Activity Association we have an impeccable customer reputation and a robust training system to ensure we deliver a high quality service.

Our sister franchise Kalma Mamas is a beautifully unique Pre and Post Natal Relaxation program.  Mothers to be can take time out of their busy days to relax and learn breating, simplistic stretches and visualisations which will help in pregnancy, birth and beyond in our Pre Natal sessions.  During the Post Natal its a chance for mothers to look after their health and well being whilst being reassured, resting up and recouporting from labour.  We are looking to expand our services outside of the North East, and recruit passionate people who love working with children!
