Helping Children Smile Again provides a play therapy service in the form of individual and group play therapy sessions, and educational training on play therapy topics. Play therapy sessions are provided to children aged 5-11 years of age struggling with emotional literacy within primary schools. Educational training is provided to healthcare providers, county councils, adoption and fostering agencies, bereavement charities, play therapists, psychotherapists, and counsellors. The organisation has a special interest in the role of therapeutic storytelling in childhood loss and bereavement, and uses the book, Isaac and the Red Jumper by Amanda Seyderhelm in educational trainings.
