Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM)


(mandatory for HPC regulated members) IPEM stipulates no minimum hours. Members should maintain a record of their CPD activities. This is compulsory for members regulated by the Health Professions Council (HPC). Every 2 years the HPC will audit a sample of CPD records from Clinical Scientists on their register.

Institute of Physics (IOP)


No minimum hours, but requires chartered members to undertake and record CPD. Learning events only count if members have reflected upon what they have learnt and applied the learning. Chartered Physicists must submit a record of CPD every 3 years for revalidation.
