Mandatory

As a CILEx Member or Practitioner you are required to complete 9 CPD outcomes. Of your 9 outcomes at least 5 of the 9 outcomes must be planned. As an Associate Prosecutor you are required to complete 9 CPD outcomes. Of your 9 outcomes at least 4 of the 9 outcomes must be planned which focus on criminal practice. As an Associate member of CILEx you are required to complete 8 hours CPD.

Failure to submit your required CPD hours will result in a loss of any benefits attached to your membership status with effect from 1 January 2019.

Evidence Reporting Monitoring

The CPD year runs from 1 January – 31 December.
Members are required to record their CPD through an online recording system.

Failure to submit your required CPD hours will result in a loss of any benefits attached to your membership status with effect from 1 January 2018.  For Chartered Legal Executives and Legal Accounts Fellows this means you will lose your designatory letters, your right to act as a Commissioner for Oaths and your right to exercise any other rights attached to your membership, such as rights of audience.
