Your brain activity is constantly sending information from one place to another part of the body, impacting how you feel, function and behave. Anxiety is a common, universal experience and a natural response in the body. There are varying degrees of how one experiences anxiety; in some circumstances, it can be a helpful indicator or signal for you to take action, and it can also manifest in challenging ways.
In light of Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 and this year’s theme of Anxiety, this session will explore the vital role that mental health plays in your overall health and wellbeing, and will provide you with a core understanding of:
- The different states of anxiety, and the various ways it can manifest
- The neuroscience of stress and burnout, and how the brain enables wellbeing
- Practical ways to prevent anxiety, stress and burnout from escalating
There will be dedicated time for Q&A at the end of the session.

Tania is passionate about raising awareness about the importance of balancing mental wellbeing with business success. She has run three different businesses before the age of 30, and has consulted and trained over 400 companies on their mental health and wellbeing strategy, on top of regularly delivering public talks, online and offline. Alongside her team of associates at Calmer, Tania delivers online and in-person workplace training courses, events, and 1:1 sessions.
