From The Professional Bodies, Associations, and Institutes for Practitioners in the Leadership and Management Industry
CHARTERED MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE - CMI
At the CMI, there are no specific requirements relating to a minimum number of points/hours of CPD learning interventions. CMI expects all members to maintain records of ongoing CPD and inspection is part of a sampling process. Failure to comply may result in removal of chartered status & downgrade of membership accordingly.
INSTITUTE OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT - ILM
CPD is not compulsory to be a member but, it can be an alternative to management-related qualifications to join at a particular level of membership. There are limited CPD support and resources available on the website.
CHARTERED INSITITUE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF SPORT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - CIMSPA
The CIMSPA requires members to complete their CPD requirements per subscription year, with an average of 10 points per annum.
ASSOCIATION OF PROPOSAL MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS - APMP
CPD is a vital part of the APMP Certification Program. APMP certified members must complete 35 hours of CPD every 2 years to maintain APMP certification.
INSTITUTE OF DIRECTORS (IOD)
As a condition of members continued registration as a Chartered Director, they must undertake and
maintain a record of CPD. Chartered Directors should undertake in the region of 30 hours of CPD per annum. Chartered members should keep a detailed record of their CPD, and be able to provide it to the IOD on request as part of the auditing process.
The Institute of CPD
As a pan-industry organisation, The Institute of CPD is open to professionals across all fields, and a home to those dedicated to demonstrating professional excellence. Depending on their membership level, a member of the Institute will commit to 10 or 30 hours of CPD per year.
