The CPD Requirements

From The Professional Bodies, Associations, and Institutes for Practitioners in the Marketing & Advertising Industry

Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) 

Chartered Marketers at the CIM and those applying to become chartered must complete the annual CPD requirements per annum. Members should record their learning and development activities via the online CPD portal. All Chartered Marketers must provide an annual CPD submission documenting their

development activity for the CPD year (July – June), and achieve 35 credits from a variety of learning activities.

Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA)

It is mandatory for all IPA members to adhere to the five standard criteria for CPD. The IPA has a mixture of agencies and individuals as members.

The Marketing Society

The Marketing Society is an exclusive global network of senior marketers and they challenge their members to think differently and become bolder marketing leaders by supporting the development of leading-edge thinking and promoting the evidence of effective marketing. However, the society does not have a formal CPD policy.

INSTITUTE OF DIRECT AND DIGITAL MARKETING (IDM)

Successful marketers never stop learning, and the IDM awards formal CPD recognition to members who undertake 35 CPD hours per annum. IDM members, graduates and course delegates are registered for free, and the IDM has an online area where members can log their CPD activities.
